All the food sold at Capers is made on-site, from scratch, using fresh, seasonal ingredients, so our meals taste like food used to, before the advent of mass-produced food. We use local produce whenever possible, and most of our meats are grown right here in Tacoma by renowned farmer Cheryl the Pig Lady. We think it's worth the extra effort!

Lunch
Stop in for lunch anytime. All day we make creative sandwiches with Essential Baking Company's 100% organic breads. Be sure to try our soups & salads as well. You can eat right here in our comfortable new dining area. We also serve fresh brewed Starbucks coffee and a selection of fine teas from around the world.

Dinner
Our menu changes constantly, with the seasons and with the whim of the chef. Most of our take-home meals can be quickly reheated in your microwave oven. All you have to do is stop in or call to see what we have. There is no need to pre-order, and there's no minimum. Have a favorite dish? Leave your contact info and we'll let you know the next time we make it. And of course you are always welcome to eat here. Compliment your meal with our carefully chosen selection of wines at retail prices (that's a 60-70% savings over what you're used to paying in restaurants).

Desserts
If you've ever eaten one of our cupcakes you know how special our desserts are. Our pastry chef makes everything from scratch using fresh butter, whole eggs, and real cane sugar. Cookies, brownies, fresh fruit galettes, bread pudding, and of course those moist cupcakes are our standard choices. And if you stop in often you never know what new creations you might find.
